Cannabis is a tool in this program because all forms of cannabis heighten our senses so that we can better tune into and honor our hunger, fullness, energy, and satisfaction. Some forms, like CBD and THCv (which are non intoxicating) can even suppress appetite and food noise.
When it comes to exercise, mindfulness is paying attention to what our body enjoys doing, which movements seem most natural and which seem most effective. If you do what you actually enjoy, you’re more likely to stick with it.
Mindful eating is more than just the types of foods that are healthy/better for us. What we really focus on is our behaviors. Changing behaviors such as chasing sugar, snacking at night, eating past fullness, not eating enough, chronic restriction and fear around food, emotional eating, and boredom eating… the behaviors that are keeping us from feeling our best or managing weight. In this program we use whole foods and moderation to continue to enjoy eating while strategically eating the best foods for us most of the time.
What really delivers our ideal, best feeling body is moderation and mindfulness combined with consistency and discipline. Oftentimes, stress, anxiety, insomnia, pain or inflammation prevents us from building consistency and discipline with our healthy habits. Cannabis can relieve these obstacles!
In CannaFit, if you choose to consume cannabis, I will work with you individually to find the right type, dose and consumption method to help you overcome any obstacles and accelerate your health and fitness goals.
